Course Overview
The Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of divers who have completed their Open Water Diver certification. This mid-level continuing education program aims to extend divers' proficiency in the water and provide more supervised practical experience. The course qualifies divers to dive to a maximum depth of 100 feet (30 meters).

Purpose
The primary goal of the Advanced Open Water Diver course is to enable divers to:
- Extend their underwater skills.
- Gain more supervised practical experience.
- Improve their ability to plan and execute dives safely.
Prerequisites
To enroll in the Advanced Open Water Diver course, participants must:
- Be a certified Open Water Diver or equivalent.
- Be at least 15 years old with parental or guardian consent, or 18 years old without it.
- For Junior Diver qualification, participants must be at least 12 years old.
Program Content
The program includes:
- A minimum of 120 minutes of open water bottom time completed over 4 to 7 dives.
- At least one dive must be conducted to a depth between 82 and 100 feet (25 and 30 meters).
- Completion of all lectures with IANTD course-specific slides pertaining to the theory in the IANTD Advanced Open Water Diver Student Kit.
Equipment Requirements
Participants are required to have or will be rovided by us:
- The IANTD Advanced Open Water Diver Student Kit.
- For rebreather divers, access to the IANTD CCR Diver "S" Drill chart C-3401 and the necessary rebreather equipment.
Program Limits
- The instructor-to-student ratio should not exceed 8 students per instructor. This can be increased to a maximum of 12 students with the assistance of two IANTD Dive Masters.
- Dives are limited to a maximum depth of 100 feet (30 meters).
