Purpose of the course Open Water Diver

Open Water Diver this program is designed to provide comprehensive training for those who wish to become certified divers.

This program focuses on the skills and knowledge necessary to train the novice diver with sufficient safety knowledge and to develop a sense of confidence and responsibility among those who are first discovering the underwater world.

Upon completion of this program, the diver may dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters in open water, accompanied by other divers of at least the same qualification, without the need for supervision by a divemaster, assistant instructor or instructor.

After completing this program, divers may only dive if they have the appropriate assistance equipment on the surface, no need to make decompression stops, and under conditions that are the same as those in which they were trained, or in a more favorable environment.

Entry Requirements

At least 15 years of age with parental or guardian permission.
At least 18 years of age without the permission of a parent or guardian.
Between the ages of 10 and 14, divers are awarded the Junior Open Water Diver certification, which allows them to dive under the supervision of an adult with an Open Water Diver level or higher.
