Purpose of the course Open Water Sidemount Diver
Familiarize divers with the mental preparation, technique and equipment required for sidemount diving.
To teach divers how to correctly assemble and use diving equipment in a sidemount configuration.
Train divers in the proper safe diving techniques required when using equipment in a sidemount configuration.

Requirements
IANTD EANx Open Water Diver level or equivalent.
Age at least 18 years old.
At least 15 years of age with parental or guardian permission.
Students aged 12 to 14 who meet the requirements to complete the OW Sidemount Diver course may qualify for the Jr. OW Sidemount Diver, allowing them to dive under the supervision of an adult with a minimum OW Sidemount Diver certification level or higher.
